Owner Operator Flat Deck Driver FAQs

Armada Transport offers Canada-wide deliveries for 53-foot flat deck owner-operators, hauling mainly steel products. Occasionally we offer over-dimensional loads.

Armada pays on percentage.

• Owners with trailers receive 90% of the base rate.
• Owners pulling dedicated company trailers receive 80% of the base rate.
• 100% of accessorial charges are paid. (i.e. fuel surcharge, picks/drops, tarping etc.)
• You are paid on the 15^th and 30^th of each month, via direct deposit.

That depends entirely on you, the Owner-Op!

Armada Transport runs mostly between Winnipeg and the Greater Toronto area and the Montreal area. We do also run into Saskatchewan and Alberta.

We do not have any restrictions regarding age limits for trucks, however, we cannot hire any units that have had emissions systems deleted or tampered with. All emissions systems must be on and operational. We also require a new annual Safety or a Safety that is no older than two months prior to hiring.

Armada Transport will plate and insure your unit. The cost of the plates and insurance is dependent on your equipment. We can determine that cost once you provide us with more information.

You do not have to live in Winnipeg, MB. We have Owner-Op’s that live in other provinces.

The first thing you must do is complete our application and return it to us with a copy of a new abstract and a copy of the front and back of your driver’s license.
